Jannat Maqbool
AI Adopt Centre Program Director
With over 25 years of experience across Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore, Jannat has been actively engaged in the technology ecosystem, focusing on leveraging innovations to benefit people, the planet, and the economy. Jannat began her career in financial services, leading medium to large scale technology adoption initiatives, before then transitioning to develop programs, pioneer innovative teaching methods, and coordinate applied research projects in the tertiary sector. Since 2017 Jannat has held a number of advisory roles across IoT and smart cities, financial services innovation, digital engineering, and AI, including fostering connections between academia and industry, influencing national policies, and supporting the launch of one of NZ’s first AI Institutes.
